In the 80's my favorite comic book was John Byrne's run on the Fantastic Four. This tribute sketch is of his reinventing of the Invisible Girl to the more powerful Invisible Woman at the hands of the Psychoman!
Japanese actress, Yumiko Katayama as U5 from Johnny Sokko & His Flying Robot, infiltrating the villainous Big Fire / Gargoyle Gang!
Hordak Triumphant!
Re-did this Jem & the Holograms piece from 2014. At that time my art was heavily influenced by Leiji Matsumoto, and while there is still a lot of his influence in my art, I wanted to give Jem a more universal look.
The Commander of Queen's Quest, AZM, and what I consider was her best look (purple hair with purple & silver gear.) Wish she would bring this back.
Ippei Kuri, the legendary creator of Gatchaman, Speed Racer, and the man behind Tatsunoko Productions, which animated the first Macross series passed away recently. A huge artistic influence not only from my childhood, but even to this day. This sketch is in his honor. Thank you, Ippei. RIP.
The best in the world you don't know about, but you soon will! The Queen of DDM, Giulia!
